Proving that you don’t need to take drugs to win Tour de France. It’s one of the many reasons I admire him so much. In a sport that’s been so damaged by drug taking, I think it’s amazing to see someone like Cadel standing on the podium. His anti-drug stance has been well documented and him winning shows that you can succeed if with just will power, determination and a hell of a lot of guts. And the willingness to suffer like no one’s business.<\/p>\n

Okay, so a boatload of natural talent and the physiological gifts of a slightly larger heart and lungs is kinda helpful as well.
